You may be from the midwest if this title made your mouth water… Broccoli Ham and Cheese Tater Tot Casserole is my take on the classic midwestern dish. I got loads of requests to share this recipe on my instagram @Chef.Carly, so here it is! A creamy bed of veggies and ham topped with crispy crunchy tater tots makes the best weeknight dinner. This stick-to-your-ribs recipe is ultimate comfort food. And it’s super easy to make, so let’s get cooking!
Ingredients:
1 bag frozen tater tots
1 family sized can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cups cauliflower florets
2 cups diced ham
1 T onion powder
1 t garlic powder
1 T worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium bowl, add cauliflower, broccoli, and ¼ cup water and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave for 3 minutes until veggies are a bit tender. Remove plastic wrap.
Add in ham, soup, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, and worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.
Spray a 9×13” pan with pan spray. Pour mixture into the pan and spread out evenly in the dish. Sprinkle 2 cups of cheddar cheese evenly over the mixture. Layer tatertots evenly over the casserole, you may not use all the tater tots. Spray with pan spray and sprinkle with a little garlic powder, if desired.
Bake for 20-30 minutes with a sheet pan on the rack below to catch any drips. Broil for 5 minutes if necessary. Casserole is done when tatertots are golden and crispy and the casserole is bubbling. Let cool a few minutes and serve. Enjoy!
